HBO has renewed Westworld for a third season, it announced on Tuesday, just two episodes into the second season. Both of these renewals are not surprising. If Nolan and Joy stick to that same timetable, it'll be late 2019-possibly even early 2020-before the third season of Westworld arrives. "From the inspired storytelling to the incredible visuals, we are so excited to see where the next chapter will take us". However, on the side of "Western" franchise huge popularity of the first season. The series also was nominated for 22 Emmys past year, ultimately winning five. Guests of the park can do as they please with the hosts and get their money's worth.

If you're not yet familiar with the premise of the series, "Westworld" focuses on a completely futuristic, old-west-style theme park that is run by intelligent robots known to be called hosts.

But in the second season, the androids mustered enough strength to launch an uprising against their human creators.

Joy and Nolan came up with the TV adaptation of the 1973 film with the same title that was written and directed by Michael Crichton.

Westworld season 2 airs on Sundays on HBO.
