"Taylor took time out of her busy, busy schedule and sat down on the bed next to Isabella", her mother, Lilly McCune, told PEOPLE.

Lilly also said that Isabella wasn't just your run-of-the-mill fan, but rather Taylor's music helped her through her treatment at the hospital. "She was speechless. She was so happy", she said. And when Taylor left the hospital, she gave Isabella a lasting gift.

Swift visited with Isabella for about 20 minutes and also spent about 10 minutes with hospital staff.
