Ron Howard's film isn't the most complex of the recent Star Wars movies but it's a light, entertaining watch with enough action, party scenes and origins drama to satisfy Solo fans prepared to see him in a new body.

Star Wars Celebration is a fan-centric event that began in 1999 in association with LucasFilm to help promote Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

Each day of the convention includes stage shows, celebrity appearances, screenings and exclusive merchandise.

With the Star Wars saga set to continue for many years to come, here's to hoping there will be too many black Star Wars characters to fit on a single outfit.

The untitled Star Wars: Episode IX is set to be released later in the year - December 20, 2019 - so you can certainly expect some exciting announcements and guests will be in the works for Star Wars Celebration 2019.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is released on May 25.
