Free Comic Book Day Returns to Cleveland This Saturday

Fans gathered at independent comic books stores May 5, 2018 to celebrate all that is great in the world of comic books.

On Saturday, participating comic book stores around the Valley planned to take part in Free Comic Book Day, offering free comic books to anyone who walks in.

This was the 13th year for Free Comic Book Day in Lima and the third year they've incorporated Touch-A-Truck.

More than 2,000 comic fans were expected to fill the street, many lining up for a free comic book at Heroes, the comic book store, and others dressed as their favourite comic character. Simply enter your zip code and the store locator will find participating retailers near you. Comic Book Realm offers yet another simple model that may be worth trying as well.

Free Comic Book Day, which began in 2002, is coordinated by Diamond Comic Distributors, which distributes Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics and DC Comics, among others. "It also shows that kids and adults can enjoy comics; they're not just a niche thing for the geeks who watch 'The Big Bang Theory.' Comics are for everyone and there is a comic for everyone".
