Just hours after dropping his production reeled single "Lift Yourself", Kanye West dropped his second single of 2018 titled "Ye. Vs".

The picture and subsequent follow-up tweets, in which West said he and the President shared "dragon energy", sparked criticism on Twitter with many claiming West was in "the sunken place" - a reference to the award-winning 2017 film Get Out.

In response to Kanye's tweets, President Trump yesterday, sent out a tweet himself, in which he thanked the rapper for his support and kind words.

West's posts sparked controversy across Twitter, leading to a series of high-profile figures unfollowing him and messages from fellow artists like John Legend urging West to rethink his support of Trump.

"The People" featuring T.I. and "Lift Yourself", it's hard to tell if Yeezy is doing this to spite fans or doubling down on his love of all things President Donald Trump.

The song is dialogue in rap between Kanye and T.I. with T.I. attempting to serve as the voice of reason.
