Earth Day 2018 focuses on plastic pollution

Earth Day 2018 is here and will celebrated on Sunday (22 April) around the world. The person for organising the event, blamed is US Senator Gaylord Nelson.

From planting trees to cleaning up their respective locale, several concerned organisations come out to streets to reaffirm their support for protecting the environment.

Banerjee in her tweet said, "On the occasion of Earth Day, let us pledge to keep our environment clean". John McConnell, a peace activist, first proposed the idea of a day dedicated to earth in 1969, when he was present at the UNESCO conference in San Francisco, and the first Earth day was celebrated on March 21, 1970, which indicated the spring in the first hemisphere. "Earth Day 2018 is devoted to supplying the information and inspiration needed to fundamentally change human perspective and behaviour about plastics", in accordance with Earth Day Network.

This weekend, people around the world will Observe Earth Day. After examining the amount of plastic used, one should take meausres to reduce that particular amount. In July of the same year, they created the Environmental Protection Agency, and robust environmental laws such as the Clean Water Act and the Endangered Species Act, among many.
