Recently there has been speculation suggesting that "Money" could be set to cross-over to ultimate fighting, in which Mayweather's previous opponent Conor McGregor is under contract.

The 50-0 multi-time world champion has been taunting McGregor in the last few months with social media posts showing himself shadow boxing inside the octagon.

Mayweather never revealed the timeline of when he would apply the license or when he plans to start actual training with Woodley - but last week said that his training would begin "real soon".

Mayweather, who confirmed to TMZ that he would be training with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley for an MMA debut, claimed that he would be "six to eight months away" from being able to actively compete inside the Octagon.

It seems unlikely that the UFC would allow Mayweather to make his MMA debut against Conor McGregor, but that's certainly the fight that everyone wants to see and will surely make them the most money. "We want to make sure that everything is done correctly, and everything is done the right way", Mayweather said.
