Fitbit has unveiled a new smartwatch in hopes of giving Apple's Apple Watch Series 3 a run for its money. Fitbit is calling Versa as the smartwatch for all as it tries to compete with the likes of Apple and Xiaomi in the wearable segment. We asked parents on the HuffPost UK Parents Facebook page what they thought about the device for kids. The watch comes in one size only but ships with small and large bands in the box. The bands, available in blue and purple for now, are interchangeable, so kids can customize them a bit.
The device has a battery that lasts more than 4 days on a single charge and shall be available in black with a black aluminum case, gray with a silver aluminum case, and peach with a rose gold aluminum case.
Grown bored of your fitness band's limitations, but not quite enough to shell out for a Fitbit Ionic? However, Fitbit still included plenty of fitness-tracking capabilities when it developed the latter. It includes on-watch workouts, 24*7 monitoring of heart rate and fitness tips for the individual.
Apple's Watch OS 4 comes with personalised activity assistance, can play Music directly on the watch from Apple Music store, supports Apple Pay and offers the option to play games on the watch as well.
Contrariwise, Apple has been equipping its smartwatches with standalone Global Positioning System to ensure that they get accurate maps of the wearer's runs. It can track your sleep, too, something that's missing from the Apple Watch. It intends to encourage children to stay active.
Fitbit reckons it has the answer to your quandary with the new Versa. There are some more extra features present in the Versa watch which is dedicated to the women's health. Unlike the adult versions of the device it doesn't feature calorie counting. It makes payment transactions easier and faster because it replaces the physical use of credit and debit cards. That said, the company strongly recommends keeping the device off of sauna or hot tubs. Either way that's a lot of space to store songs.
Two Palestinians die in clashes with Israeli army
The Palestinian man, who was mentally disabled and suffered from speech impairment , leaves behind a four-year-old child. The Israeli army said a "riot" had broken out in Hebron and that protesters had attacked soldiers.
It also has personalised fitness guidance with on-screen personal workouts from Fitbit Coach, vi 15+ Exercise Modes, Connected GPS, swim tracking with water resistance up to 50 meters, plus automatic activity and exercise tracking. Like the the company's first smartwatch, it supports smartphone notifications and soon, Fitbit say, quick replies on Android.
Fitbit is also close to launching new features that will make it particularly appealing to female consumers. Plus, it packs a number of customizable watch faces.
When the Ionic first arrived, we described FitbitOS as offering "smartwatch scaffolding" - but with version 2.0 on the Versa, it's definitely starting to look more like the finished article.
Meanwhile, the Apple Watch is already an established series in the market.
When it comes to smartwatches, Apple reigns supreme.
