Fergie then added, via TMZ, that she is a risk-taker and intended for her rendition to be something special as she knows how big of a spectacle the NBA All-Star Game is.

But Fergie epically failed in her attempt.

In his arm was cradled a bouquet of pink and red roses, presumably a gift for Fergie, who he split from last year after 13 years as a couple. WTF is going on? "I think mine was better lowkey", Barr tweeted on Sunday night - and she wasn't the only celeb to comment on the less-than-Fergalicious performance. Including, Roseanne Barr, whose performance may have been outranked for worst-National Anthem performance. Despite what seemed like real effort on her part, it just didn't go over that well.

During Sunday night's NBA All-Star Game, Fergie stepped up to the mic to sing the National Anthem. "I can't tell you how appreciative I am of the players", Commissioner Adam Silver told ESPN after the game.

So getting the chance to perform the anthem before a major event, such as the NBA All-Star Game, is a huge honor.

Reality TV star Khloé Kardashian tweeted during the performance: "This All Star opening is confusing me".

I watched the National Basketball Association game myself and realized some of the players were trying their best not to laugh at Fergie's performance. It was different, it was sexy'.

"I've seen the national anthem performed hundreds of times but never in the key of "Happy Birthday Mr. President" congrats @Fergie", one Twitter user wrote.

If you haven't watched Fergie's performance yet - and want to ignore all the signs why you shouldn't - it's at the bottom of the article.
